Welcome

Therapy is a relationship, one where you can be honest about what you're carrying, and brave enough to set it down.

What I help with

Common reasons people reach out.

You don't need to have it all figured out before getting in touch. These are some of the experiences clients bring into our work.

01

Anxiety & overwhelm

The constant hum of worry, racing thoughts, sleepless nights, and bodies that won't quite settle.

02

Depression & low mood

Loss of motivation, persistent heaviness, and the particular loneliness of going through the motions.

03

Grief & loss

Mourning a person, a relationship, an identity, or a version of life you thought you'd have.

04

Perfectionism & procrastination

The exhausting cycle of high standards, self-criticism, avoidance, and never feeling like enough.

05

Trauma & old wounds

Past experiences that still shape how safe, connected, or worthy you feel today.

06

Relationships & boundaries

Communication, codependency, conflict, dating, and learning to take up space without guilt.

07

Cultural & identity work

Bicultural and Asian American experience, intergenerational expectations, and finding your own ground.

08

Life transitions

College, career shifts, parenthood, caregiving, divorce, moments when the old map stops working.

09

Children & families

Play-based therapy for kids and collaborative support for the whole family system around them.

About Dr. Han

A steady, honest presence, and a real human in the room.

I'm a California Licensed Psychologist (PSY35151) with a doctorate in clinical psychology. For over a decade I've worked alongside teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, and the in-between moments of life that don't make it onto a checklist.

My approach is warm, direct, and culturally affirming. I draw from a strength-based, integrative lens, pairing real empathy with the kind of clear goal-setting that helps things actually shift. As a bicultural Asian American clinician, I hold particular care for the layered work of identity, family, and belonging.

How we work together

Therapy that meets you where you are.

Whether you're looking for individual support, working through something with a partner, or seeking help for a child, here's what our work might look like.

Couples therapy
Couples & family therapy

Hard conversations, held with care.

  • Communication and conflict cycles
  • Repair after rupture or betrayal
  • Parenting alignment and family dynamics
  • Blended-family transitions

  • Perfectionism, codependency, boundary work
  • Cultural and identity exploration
  • Life transitions and self-compassion

Therapy for children and teens
Children & teens

Play, talk, and a place to land.

Developmentally appropriate therapy that meets kids and teens in their actual world. With permission, I'll collaborate with parents, teachers, and pediatric providers so the support extends beyond the session.

  • Play therapy for younger children
  • Anxiety, mood, big emotions, and self-regulation
  • Bullying, peer issues, school stress
  • Family/school coordination when helpful

My approach

Strength-based. Culturally affirming. Honest about the work.

Therapy with me is collaborative. We'll name what's happening, set goals that mean something to you, and practice between sessions so the change shows up in your life, not just in our hour together.

Culturally affirming

Your culture, family system, and identity aren't a footnote, they shape the meaning we make of what's hard. I bring particular care to bicultural and Asian American experience.

Strength-based & integrative

I draw from CBT, ACT, attachment, trauma-informed, and play-based work, chosen to fit you, not the other way around. Self-compassion is a throughline.

Goal-oriented & warm

Empathy without direction can stall; direction without warmth doesn't land. We'll do both, name what matters and move toward it together.

Who I work with

Couples, individuals, and the families around them.

Over the years I've sat with people across many seasons of life: couples working through what's gotten in the way, parents trying to do better than they were given, professionals carrying invisible loads, college students figuring out who they are away from home, and kids who need a space that's just theirs.

Common questions

A few things people ask.

Do you take my insurance?

I'm in-network with Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Quest Behavioral Health. For other carriers, you'll be provided with a monthly superbill to submit for insurance reimbursement. Please verify your plan's out-of-network and telehealth coverage with your insurer.

Tell me about Telehealth.

Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that's accessible via smartphone, tablet, or computer. Phone sessions are also offered as an alternative to video appointments, scheduled in advance.

How do I know if this is a "good fit"?

The therapeutic relationship should feel supportive, inclusive, and collaborative. Our early sessions allow both of us to assess compatibility. We'll discuss any barriers together, and I'll provide referrals if needed.

How long will the therapy take and how can I get the most out of it?

The timeline varies based on individual circumstances and commitment. Success requires active participation in our sessions in addition to active practice between sessions, as meaningful progress occurs outside therapy too.

Ready when you are

Reaching out is the first brave thing.

Whether you're sure about therapy or still figuring it out, I'd be glad to hear from you.
